Our designers can supply electromechanical cable for as fast as you want to tow.

More than one type of fibre may constitute the central stress member.

The aramid fibre core of the Trout array is extremely strong, with virtually no stretching at operational array speeds. At the heart of MAI's Trout Towed Sonar Hydrophone Array is a central core of ultra high strength aramid fibres. This photograph shows a fibre winding process.

High Strength
Center Core

Unlike pure axial fibre configurations, the MAI  Trout core is highly resistant  to shear failure while still maintaining great tensile strength.  For very high speed applications, composite fibre constructions are used.

Ultra-high speed constructions may contain more than one stress member.
