Marschall Acoustics developed and owns fundamental patents in hydrophone design, underwater acoustics, and sonars -
particularly in solid towed hydrophone array seismic streamer design. Some of this technology is licensed to various
manufacturing companies. Contact us directly if you have any questions in this regard.

  Technology

licensing

 Marschall Acoustics patents in
the United States of America (USA) and other countries cover almost every way of making a thinline
towed hydrophone array or seismic streamer with low self-noise levels. The technology is also used in
stationary horizontal and vertical hydrophone arrays for geophysical exploration and production,
oceanographic research, and undersea warfare such as ASW and harbor security.

  Licensees

 Marschall Acoustics innovative hydrophone
designs include the use of piezoplastics such as PVDF, piezoceramics, and fibre optics. Some of our towed hydrophone
array and thinline solid streamer designs can operate at high speeds and full ocean depth.
Our experience in moving coil electrodynamic underwater transducer design has lead directly to our
development of phase-coherent or time-aligned loudspeaker systems for professional sound reinforcement.
